When looking deeper, it seems that libdb is part of the berkely db. My RH8
system is running db4-4 which links libdb-4.0.so...
rpm -qli db4 returns (among other things)
Name :db4
Version :4.0.14
...
/lib/libdb-4.0.so
...
This seems odd. A newer version of php requires an older version of libdb?
It seems that php-4.2.2 requires libdb-4.0.14 but php-4.3.1 requires
libdb-3.2.so
Does this make sense?
