[CLUE-Tech] web site usability

My preference is for links to stay in the same window. Opening another
window:
- doesn't carry the history stack to the new window, so you can't choose
'Back' to return to where you were, if you accidently close the
generating window, you've got to go through your history or re-drill
the web to where you were. A product tour sounds like your designing
for new visitors to your site, so I would lean toward presenting a
simple browsing experience that makes it easy to go backward & forward
  through your pages.
- if you're browsing with limited resources (not entirely unlikely is
this day & age of embedded browsers), it's another window resource for
  the graphics engine
- mozilla/phoenix/firefox/firebird/whatever allows you to open in
another window or tab optionally, so I prefer a site that lets *ME*
decide how I want to browse. I can't speak for the abilities of other
browsers, 'cause I only use the mozilla family.

My 2c.
