[CLUE-Tech] DSL question

I use Qwest DSL and have no problems. They are using the Actiontec modem
which is just average as far as features and reliability. It has an option
for a wireless card but last I knew it was $70 or so for the card and was
802.11b only. Since 802.11g prices are pretty low, I'd get a separate AP
instead or purchasing the card.

The actiontec acts as a DHCP server and router, so you don't need to use
PPPoE or anything like that on your linux boxes, just plain jane network
setups.

The service for me has been good, my only complaint is the actiontec modem
has at times been flakey. It says the link is up and connected but will
not pass data. After it's power cycled it works fine again but it is
annoying. Perhaps there's a firmware upgrade, I haven't checked in a
while.
