I second, or third, forth or whatever, that -- I use DSL as a backup
to my cable modem. I only connect one computer to DSL, but had to
reset the Actiontec regularly. It also seemed that it wasn't "holding"
the settings - I had to re-enter the username/password several times,
even after flashing the modem.

I finally got sick of it and bought a Zoom at CompUSA. I do wish I
could find one of the Cisco modems, though - I had one of the
deprecated models years ago and it worked in bridging mode by
default... why Qworst had to go and switch to the shoddy Actiontecs, I
have no idea.
