[clue-tech] kernel 2.6.11.8

We upgraded a single server to 2.6.11.8 and had similar problems.  I didn't
have time to troubleshoot at all however.  It is a production server that
needed to be on-line, so I was forced to reboot with the old kernel.  And
now I must endure my boss's "If it ain't broke don't fix it speech" yet
again.
