Compaq Armada M700, with 686 kernel 2.6.12 -- nothing unusual or
special. Seems like a problem with X, or maybe udev is somehow
"unregistering" the usb port when it stops detecting the mouse for a
while. Installing gpm didn't seem to make any difference.
You know, I was wondering why they got rid of hotplug in lieu of udev.
It didn't seem hotplug had really gotten started before they decided to
scrap it.
