Yes, but I think that the 'ease' at which you can do this depends on the distribution that you are running. (And, of course the path of leaset resistance installation-of-flash-wise is to run full 32 bit, but that seems like heresy when I have this super-duper 64-bit machine sitting here, just waiting for a native 64-bit install, doesn't it?).

In Gentoo, there are special 32-bit builds of firefox, flash, and even mplayer so that you can do embedded video. SOmething like "emerge firefox-bin" does the trick.

Ubuntu / Kubuntu, basically you have to install the 32-bit version of FireFox and then install the flash plugin (and then the 32-bit version of java and mplayer). There are some FAQ's on ubuntuforums.org on how to do this, look either at the tips and tricks section or on the 64-bit users section for fairly detailed instructions on how to do this. I followed them at the recent installfest and got it working.

If you are running SuSE, they've done some things with FireFox (and even Konqueror) that allow you to run the 32-bit plugins just fine and I even think that they are installed by default. Kinda cool.

Other distros, I have no idea ... I haven't tried the 64-bi versions of 'em.

Cheers,
Chris
