Wow! That might be just about what I'm looking for. The price isn't too bad,
either. And 2 ether ports. Some of the boxes over on mini-box are roughly
the same price, maybe more for similar config. 

I haven't done CD with USB - is it as simple as having one of those
usb-to-IDE cables and plugging that in, putting a CD in, and rebooting? Do
almost all BIOS' allow booting from USB these days?
