[clue] Nuttiness over Natty Unity

Does it look exactly like the old version? Or do you see some differences? Metacity on Arch Linux looks different now. There are only two menu items on the top left instead of 3 and the notification area looks different. 
Also, no applets.

So, I just loaded Natty, selected "Ubuntu Classic" and logged in. It looks like it always did, and I don't even have to re-select "Ubuntu Classic"; the system assumes I want whatever I had last time. What's with all the bilious rantings, the spleenious, spluttering rage? THIS is "forcing everyone to use Unity"? This having to make a selection from a menu one time, is the God-awful lock-in I was warned about? What a let down... I was looking forward to a prison to bust out of. I had my inner criminal primed and ready, and now... Pfah.
