List -
My 'head-banger' note (previous) has been downgraded from a Migraine to
normal irritation. Centos 6.2 is running
fine once I toggled the BIOS between AHCI and IDE modes. To install the
new OS, I had to use IDE mode (3 SATA HDDs) and then toggle back to AHCI
mode (RAID striped) in production. Couple other quirks -
- I run a parallel server (currently LiveOS image) and notice that the 2
systems do not follow similar configurations
(eg Toggle betwen KDE vs GNOME Desktop Managers). Works fine on my
production system ((using /etc/
sysconfig/desktop parameters). Same file on 2nd box not yet working
right.
- Sound card (on production server) - I had to toggle between KDE/GNOME to
get sound working OK. Adapter on
backup system not up and running yet.
- Current task is to configure 'myphpadmin' so I can migrate a Drupal 6.2
database onto the new server. Advice
welcome.
